It’s almost time for the biggest football match of the year – and we’re not talking Premier League clashes, Champions League finals or FA Cup battles.

This Sunday (June 15) it’s all about the return of Soccer Aid and this year it’s on home turf as the huge charity football match returns to Manchester United’s beloved home, Old Trafford.

The England and World XI FC sides are set to go head-to-head once more and the competition is as fierce as ever, particularly after England took the crown last summer, clawing back a win for the first time in a few years, leaving the World XI with a narrow 7-6 lead in the overall standings.

Created by Robbie Williams in 2006, Soccer Aid for UNICEF brings the nation together to help children worldwide have the best possible start in life, so far raising more than £100 million.

The money raised helps UNICEF deliver vital programmes which provides therapeutic food, healthcare, safe spaces and crisis support around the world, all helping children grow up safe, healthy and able to play.

And Soccer Aid has once again lined-up and incredible number stars to take part and help raise the all-important cash, from fan favourites Jill Scott, Tom Grennan and Sir Mo Farah, to new signings Tyson Fury, Joe Hart, Steph Houghton, Leonardo Bonucci and many mor.

This year also sees the hotly anticipated return of Soccer Aid stars including Louis Tomlinson and Wayne Rooney – one of the greatest footballers of all time – who will be on former home ground.

What time does it kick off and where can I watch it?

The Soccer Aid 2025 match will kick off at 7.30pm, though the show starts a little earlier at 6pm with plenty of build-up to the big match. Those who can’t get to the match can watch it on ITV, ITVX and STV on Sunday, June 15.

Who is presenting and commentating on Soccer Aid 2024?

Dermot O’Leary and Alex Scott will once again be presenting the live coverage, whilst broadcaster Sam Matterface will return as a commentator, with Salford comic and actor Jason Manford on co-comms duty.

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel will be managing World XI, alongside actors Emmett J. Scanlan and Martin Compston.

They’ll also be joined by Sam Thompson after the TV personality was forced to swap his playing role for a coaching one due to injury during his ‘Match Ball Mission’ for Soccer Aid for Unicef.
