Big top to roll up in Darlington this month as circus returns – all the details

Planet Circus OMG will return to the town after a triumphant run last year.

The big top will be opposite The Old Farmhouse Pub off the A67 from Tuesday, June 24 to Sunday, June 29.

On the bill is a ‘Red Thunder Monster Truck’ performance, among other shows.

Expect acrobats performing a series of jaw-dropping stunts, clowns and jugglers, and if last year is anything to go by a finale being provided by the Globe of Speed – a metal spherical cage which saw several motorbikes spinning around and breakneck speed, somehow managing to avoid each other.

Thousands of people packed out the circus last year in Darlington, and this year’s circus is expected to be just as popular.

In The Northern Echo’s review of Planet Circus OMG last year, it was described as “gymnastic, athletic, entertaining and – above all – hugely talented, this was certainly a night to remember”.

All seats on Tuesday and Wednesday are priced at £9.99, and the circus is a cash only event on site.
