Police say they are investigating after a man and woman were found dead in a Mount Pearl home over the weekend.

In a statement, the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary say they received a 911 call on Saturday at around 6:18 p.m. NT.

“Police entered the home and found a male and female deceased in the residence,” said the statement released Sunday.

The cause of death was not specified.

It is being investigated by the RNC’s major crimes unit and the chief medical examiner’s office is involved.

CBC News has asked the RNC for an interview.
