
A man has been charged with murder in the deadly stabbing of his mother’s boyfriend at a home in Middleborough, Massachusetts, on Saturday, authorities said.
The man who died was identified as Paul Pomerleau, 66, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and Middleborough police.
Andrew Horsman, 41, taken into custody close to the scene of the stabbing, which was reported, along with a fight, at a Fairview Street home just after 8 p.m. Saturday. He was arrested amid the investigation and is due in Wareham District Court Monday, officials said.

It wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney who could speak to the charge.
Witnesses told investigators that the stabbing was preceded by an argument, according to the officials, who didn’t provide more details. After officers spoke to people at the scene, they found Horsman nearby and took him into custody without incident.
Pomerleau was rushed to Morton Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Officials said he and Horsman’s mother were in a long-term relationship.
