Imran Abbas voices concern over the release of Sardar Ji 3 – SUCH TV

Acclaimed Pakistani actor Imran Abbas has publicly voiced concerns about screening the controversial movie Sardar Ji 3 during Muharram. Taking to his Instagram story, Imran weighed in on the film release, also reminiscing about the days when Pakistan Television (PTV) used to release content without music in the holy month.

“I have never experienced movies being released on the 1st of Muharram before in Pakistan… It’s not a matter of Shia or Sunni, but certain dates and months hold significance for us as Muslims. I can still recall when PTV used to have music-free transmissions.

Now we witness dance and music shows even on the 9th of Muharram,” he wrote in the Instagram story.

“People take these two days as holiday/break to travel to hill stations with families and friends for picnics. The day is not too far when we will be marking the new Islamic year by celebrating parties on the 1st of Muharram. I urge all of us to respect the sanctity of Rabi Ul Awwal, Ramzan, and Muharram, and recognize the importance of these special dates regardless of our background as Muslims,” he added.

Certainly, that cast of the film is not responsible since they have done their job and that’s all which is required from them as actors.

But it could have been delayed just a little by the authorities since its surely set to be a blockbuster so a little postponed date would not make much of a difference, the actor concluded.
