The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting announced on Tuesday that Indian films will be banned in all cinemas across the country during Eid al-Azha.
According to the official notification, Indian films will not be shown in cinemas and even censored Indian Punjabi films would not be allowed to screen during Eid.
All cinema houses have been formally informed of this decision.
The restriction shall remain in force for two days before and two weeks after Eid holidays.
