CHICAGO (WGN) — A Chicago police officer is in critical condition after a shooting on the city’s South Side Thursday night, police sources tell WGN TV News.
Sources confirmed a police officer was shot near East 82nd Street and South Drexel Avenue. She is being taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
A Chicago police helicopter is currently over the scene aiding in CPD’s search for suspects wanted in connection with this incident.
